MEET THE STAFF

 

Mark McCalmon, Owner/Training Director, has been a life-long resident of the Kansas City area. He currently lives in Overland Park with his wife of forty-three years, Betty.  He has been training dogs for friends, relatives and himself for over 30 years.  He began competing in AKC obedience trials in the 80s and soon became sidetracked training sporting dogs.  After numerous requests for his services, in 2010, he decided to begin the process of making his hobby a full-time career.  Over the years, Mark has trained many pets as well hard-working sporting dogs.  He has been a student of traditional as well as most of the modern methods of training.  He studied under nationally-known trainer, Robin MacFarlane.
